Canon SX110 IS!
Though it's technically a mid-size digital camera, the Canon Power Shot SX110 IS is small for a 10x zoom design। Its smooth exterior is easy to hold, and the Canon SX110 IS slips comfortably into a larger pocket for easy stowing. The surprise is the Canon SX110 IS's low price, currently hovering at around $230 online. You'll have to search far to find a digital camera with a 10x, image-stabilized zooms, a 9-megapixel sensor, and a 3-inch LCD for less. Add standout features like face detection and a full array of semi-auto and a full-manual exposure modes, and you have an enthusiast's dream camera for just a couple hundred bucks. Pentax K20D!
Though it looks quite similar to the K10D, the Pentax K20D offers enough improvements that longtime fans should take notice. A robust body, Shake Reduction, dust reduction, and the unique Sensitivity Priority as well as Shutter & Aperture Priority modes are retained, and new features like more resolution, larger LCD, higher ISOs, Live View, Expanded D-Range mode, AF Fine-tuning and Burst shooting -- capable of grabbing 22 1.6-megapixel images per second -- really round out the Pentax K20D's capabilities. Most important, however, is the K20D's image quality, which is good enough for very large prints with very little noise thanks to the 14.6-megapixel CMOS image sensor. Overall we were pleasantly surprised by the Pentax K20D and think it's a solid performer that also offers good value for the money.
